Explore your data
List datasets, read their columns, and run grouped queries with filters and aggregations — the assistant works from your actual rows, not from a summary it invented.
Connect ChartBrick to ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity and run it from the chat you already have open. Ask in plain language — your assistant queries your datasets and builds real charts in your workspace, ready to embed, publish and refresh.

How did revenue trend this year? Show me a chart.
Revenue grew every month except March, from $38k in January to $88k in June — a 132% increase.
Illustrative example — your charts render with your own data.
Your numbers sit in Sheets, Notion, Airtable or a database. Answering “how are we doing this quarter?” normally means opening three tabs before you even start building. With the connector, you ask — and your assistant queries the dataset, aggregates it properly, and builds the chart in ChartBrick: embeddable, publishable, and refreshing on its own from then on.
How it works
Step 1
Paste the ChartBrick address into Claude, ChatGPT or Perplexity and pick OAuth. No API keys, no tokens to copy.
Step 2
Sign in on chartbrick.com and pick the one workspace to connect. Read-only unless you tick the editing box.
Step 3
Questions in plain language, answered from your real rows — with the chart rendered inside the conversation.
The connector address
https://chartbrick.com/api/mcpStep-by-step for each assistant in the connection guide.
No syntax to learn — the assistant finds the right dataset and the right columns on its own.
“What datasets do I have, and what's in them?”
“How did revenue trend month over month?”
“Compare online vs retail and tell me which is growing faster.”
“Show me my sales chart.”
“What was revenue by month where the channel is Online?”
“Make a bar chart of total revenue by month.”
“What does my 'Spend by platform' chart show?”
“Create a dashboard with my revenue and traffic charts and publish it.”
“Here's my CSV — turn it into a dataset and chart it.”
Editable in the editor, shareable on the web, and current without you touching it.
Every chart the assistant builds is a real ChartBrick chart — open it in the editor to rename it, restyle it, or change its axes like any other.
Publish to a public link and paste it into Notion, a doc or your site. Password-protect it, restrict the domains, export it as PNG or PDF.
Connected datasets refresh on a schedule, so the chart you made today still shows the right numbers next month — wherever you embedded it.
Reading is always available. The rest only if you enable editing when you connect.
List datasets, read their columns, and run grouped queries with filters and aggregations — the assistant works from your actual rows, not from a summary it invented.
List and explain existing charts, then create or edit them: chart type, axes, filters, colors, labels, number format. Everything lands in your workspace, ready to refine in the editor.
Create a dashboard, add or remove charts, and publish it to a public link — all without leaving the conversation.
Paste CSV or JSON straight into the chat to create a dataset, queue a refresh on a connected one, or swap the data behind an existing chart — the charts stay attached and keep working.
A file you dropped into the conversation, a table from another tool it's connected to — hand it over and it becomes a ChartBrick dataset, then a chart, without you connecting that source here first. It arrives as a static dataset: to update it, give the assistant fresh data.
Works with every source in your workspace — CSV, Excel, JSON, Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion, Stackby, REST APIs, MySQL and PostgreSQL.

Renders your charts inline in the conversation.
Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu, on the web
Renders your charts inline. Added via developer mode.
Pro, Max or Enterprise
Works with your data and answers with links, no inline charts.
You sign in on chartbrick.com, so the assistant never sees your password — and answering a question sends only the rows that question needs.
Editing is a checkbox you tick at connect time. Leave it unchecked and the assistant can only read and explain.
Even with editing enabled, there is no tool to delete a dataset, chart or dashboard. It cannot happen by accident.
You choose which workspace during sign-in. Your other workspaces stay invisible to the assistant.
Every connection is listed in your account settings with its workspace and last use. One click cuts it off immediately.
